Approx 4 miles along the riverbank from Low Mill to Addingham and an exploration of the village

Starting from the old Ilkley Road our route takes us along part of the Dalesway through the delightful hamlet of Low Mill in Addingham to St Peter’s Church, from where we head up into the village itself and explore some of the back lanes and footpaths, passing some delightful old cottages and converted mills. Eventually our route takes us back to the river where we will stop for refreshment at Hamilton’s before returning along the riverbank and retracing our steps through Low Mill to the cars. The walk is mostly on good paths and lanes, with a few short unavoidable sections along the main road. There are no hills and the majority of the walk is flat, but some paths undulate, especially on the return riverside section, and there are three sets of steps and one field with sheep. Depending on the rainfall in the next 10 days some paths could be muddy, so walking boots and poles will be needed.
