Midweek walk: 5 miles Sicklinghall to Spofforth circular

Described as a classic countryside ramble, our walk takes us from the delightful village of Sicklinghall through Stockeld Park to reach the disused railway line between Wetherby and Spofforth. From here we return on an ancient footpath through open countryside to Sicklinghall. This is a mostly level walk on made footpaths, however there are undulations, and there is one field which can be very muddy, so walking boots and pole are definitely advised. I have booked a table at the Scotts Arms for lunch at 12.15. Depending on timing we may stop for coffee in Spofforth, but can decide that on the day.
