Midweek walk: Nunroyd Park to Maggie’s via Spring Wood (approx 4.5 miles)

Starting from Nunroyd Park in Yeadon, we will make our way through the park and then cross the A65 to follow Nunroyd Beck to the railway bridge and into Spring Wood. After exploring the woods we will head up into Little London and stop for coffee at Maggie’s before heading back across fields to Yeadon where we pick up the Aireborough Greenway, an easy path which takes us all the way back before a short walk back up to Nunroyd Park. 

Whilst this walk is largely on good paths, if we were to get heavy rain in the next week some areas are very prone to flooding, but the current forecast is promising.  Walking boots are essential and a pole might be helpful for the rougher paths. The walk has both downhill and uphill sections, in particular as we climb up from the railway line towards Little London – please see the attached profile for more detail.
