Midweek walk:  Apperley Bridge to Esholt circular (approx 6 miles 259ft ascent and 266ft descent)

Starting from the Millman Swing Bridge on Apperley Road, we head along the canal towpath towards Shipley passing two sets of locks, before descending Buck Mill Lane to cross the river and make our way along the road into Esholt village. From here we take the road behind the village which becomes a path through woods, before briefly joining the road through the water treatment plant. A track then leads down to the delightful Esholt Suspension Bridge and from here we make our way though fields back to our starting point. It is a short walk from Millman Bridge to Apperley Bridge Marina café for coffee. after our walk.
