c.6-7 miles walk Wingate Nick from Silsden
March 1, 2025 @ 9:30 am – 1:30 pm
The walk will start from the car park in the centre of Silsden at 9:30am.
This costs £4 for all day and the machines take cash. It looks like they use
the RingGo App too. There aren’t any public toilets in Silsden but the café
we are going to use will let us use theirs before we do the walk.

It’s the Wesley Place car park BD20 0PH. It’s easy to find – just on the
left as you come down the hill into central Silsden.
The walk goes past the Beckside Café (formerly The Old Post Office café),
where we will use the loo and then we head to the canal for a flat section
of walking. This is a pleasant and easy section. Once we leave the canal we
start climbing, up the road to start with and then on a path above a stream
and then into fields. The views are great on a clear day, and we end up at
Windgate Nick which is on the moors above Addingham. So, we get views into
the other valley. After this it’s all downhill back into Silsden.

The café would like us to a do a pre-order so please look at the attached
menus and let me know what you would like to eat.
There will be some muddy stretches, particularly in the woods. There is a
variety of stiles on this walk and there will be livestock in the fields.
