Saturday Walk: north of the river from Otley – c 7.3 miles, medium category

The walk will start from the free parking near the Buon Apps restaurant at 9:15am.

We will walk along the Six Dales Trail out of Otley and up the north side of the Wharfe Valley. It’s worth looking back at the great views, if it’s clear. We only go as far as Clifton on this walk (which is why it’s medium and not hard as we don’t go into the Washburn Valley where we’d have to climb up again to get out of there).  We then descend the hill and come back into Otley through the estate and down to the river. We’ll cross over the footbridge and have a little circuit around the Gallows Hill nature reserve before coming back past the cars (where we can change out of our boots).  It’s then a short walk into town to Bay Tree Court for the cafe.
